The MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) was present during the 1st Anniversary of the Battle for Manila Bay last 26 January 2020, at Baseco Beach, Port Area, Brgy. 649, Tondo, Manila.
The event, which was spearheaded by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), aimed to exhibit the accomplishments of the Battle for Manila Bay, a year after its implementation. It was attended by 13 government agencies and private institutions included in the Mandamus to clean Manila Bay.
Aside from celebrating the project, DENR announced its policy on Single Use Plastic and launched its Solid Waste Management Advocacy Program. The last part of the event was the inauguration of the Baseco boardwalk and ceremonial mangrove tree planting.
The MWSS RO regularly participates in clean-up drives that aid in the restoration and preservation of Manila Bay and its tributaries. The agency continuously supports projects that protect the environment, and ensure clean water supply for consumers.
