The MWSS-RO entered into a contract with Test Consultants, Inc. (TCI) in joint venture (JV) with Constantino Guadalquiver & Co. (CG&Co) for the procurement of consultancy services for the fourth Rate Rebasing.
With a kick-off on 28 September 2017 contract signing, the consultancy services general objective is to ensure the proper and successful conduct of the 4th Rate Rebasing based on the framework formulated by the RO with a contract duration of nine months.
A Rate Rebasing is mandatory every five (5) years. It is a process that determines the rates for water and sewerage services of Manila Water Co. Inc. (MWCI) and Maynilad Water Services Inc. (MWSI) to recover over the life of the concession (until 2037) their investment, capital, operating and maintenance expenditures prudently and efficiently incurred.
(TCI) was established in 1968 by a group of professors from the College of Engineering, University of the Philippines. TCI’s multi-disciplinary staff of engineers, scientists , managers, and economists have provided comprehensive services in the field of personnel technical trainings, consultations and project development, implementation and management.
CG&Co. is a public accounting firm accredited by Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a group A auditing firm. The firm is also accredited as an auditing firm by the Philippine Board of Accountancy, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Insurance Commission of the Philippines, and the Philippine Bureau of Internal Revenue.
