MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) Authorizes Application of Average Billing During Enhanced Community Quarantine Period

In light of the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) over Luzon, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) has authorized concessionaires Manila Water Company Inc. (MWCI) and Maynilad Water Services Inc. (MWSI) to:

1) suspend their meter reading operations;

2) implement average billing, based on the customer’s average water consumption during the past three (3) months; and

3) upon resumption of regular operations, adjust charges on subsequent water bills based on the customer’s actual meter registration.

For inquiries and concerns, customers may contact MWCI at 1627 or MWSI at 1626. If concerns have not been satisfactorily resolved by either of the concessionaires, customers may elevate their concerns to MWSS RO through its Customer Service Regulation Area at csr@ro.mwss.gov.ph.

Rest assured that the MWSS RO will closely monitor the concessionaires’ implementation of the above-mentioned measures, in line with the agency’s Policy on the Application of Average Billing (MWSS RO-OPP-052-03).
