On 27 September 2020, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) celebrated its Family Thanksgiving Day. The activity is in line with the agency’s commitment to promote psychosocial wellness among the agency’s employees, particularly during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. The event began with a Eucharistic Celebration; followed by a brief message from MWSS RO Chief Regulator Atty. Patrick Lester N. Ty, who discussed the importance of the nuclear family and the MWSS RO family as support system especially during these trying times. The MWSS RO employees and their families engaged in an online lecture by Ms. Stephanie Joy Andaya from the University of the Philippines Diliman Gender Office (UPGDO), who imparted theories, concepts, and practices for non-sexist child rearing; actively participated in the best family theme and best family water conservation infomercial contests; and enjoyed a virtual lunch or “salu-salo.”The event was concluded by MWSS RO Deputy Administrator and Gender and Development (GAD) Chairperson Atty. Claudine Orocio-Isorena who reminded everyone to live out the lessons imparted during the celebration, especially the importance of spending time with one’s family.The MWSS RO is grateful for the continuous support of our families, in our endeavor to provide quality services to the public.
