The MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) joined the observance of the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) from 25 November to 12 December 2019. The MWSS RO lined up different activities to celebrate the theme VAW-Free Community Starts with Me and to show solidarity with the campaign.

The MWSS RO held a series of informative seminars on laws such as Seminar on Gender Sensitivity, Seminar on Anti Sexual Harassment and other Gender Related Laws, and Seminar on Gender Analysis. Aside from that, there were seminars that intended to empower and capacitate employees, especially women such as Livelihood Seminar (haircutting), Grooming Seminar, Basic Self Defense Seminar (Krav Maga), Financial Literacy Seminar, and Stress Management Seminar. There were also activities that catered to the artistic side of employees such as Viewing of Dulaan UP’s Fuente Ovejuana, film showing of the film Verdict, participation in UP’s Anti-VAW Expo, Art Training Workshop in Sip and Gogh, On The Spot Poster Making Contest about VAW, Photo Contest with the theme VAW Free Community Starts with Me, with the goal of imparting important learnings from the aforementioned artistic activities.
