2022 5th Rate Rebasing Public Consultation Drive (PCDr) for East Zone:

Province of Rizal (City of Antipolo; and Municipalities of Angono, Baras, Binangonan, Cainta, Cardona, Jalajala, Morong, Pililla, Rodriguez, San Mateo, Tanay, Taytay, and Teresa)

The MWSS RO conducts a Rate Rebasing Exercise every five years pursuant to the Concession Agreement entered into by the MWSS with Manila Water Company, Inc. and Maynilad Water Services, Inc. Rate Rebasing is a periodic performance review and general tariff adjustment, which sets the maximum rates that the Concessionaires may charge for their services.

Prior to the determination of the rates, the MWSS RO, in cooperation with its’ Concessionaires and representatives from customer groups and other stakeholders, holds a Rate Rebasing Public Consultation Drive (PCDr) to gather valuable inputs with respect to current and future water and sanitation and sewerage developments and plans within Maynilad and Manila Water Service Areas. The PCDr also aims to provide a venue for discussion and addressing prevailing gender-related issues and concerns of stakeholders on water, sewerage and sanitation services and for exploring good practices in providing gender-responsive services.

In line with this, the MWSS RO invites Manila Water customers, local government units, media partners, and other stakeholders to its Fifth (5th) Rate Rebasing PCDr for the East Zone to discuss details of Manila Water Company Inc.’s developments for the last five years (2017-2022), and proposed Business Plans for the next five years (2023-2027).

The MWSS RO and Manila Water will have exciting games and prizes for the participants throughout the program!
