On 09, 16, and 23 September 2022, the MWSS Regulatory Office (in cooperation with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Bulacan, Briquettors Association of the Philippines, Inc., and Bantay Gubat) held its “25K Trees for the 25 Years” – a series of tree planting activities at the Ipo Dam Watershed in Norzagaray, Bulacan. The IECEP NCR North-East Chapter / Quezon City Chapter joined the MWSS RO in the final leg of the series, which kicked off last 01 July.
The said project aimed to increase the forest cover of the watersheds that support the water supply within the Concession Areas.
The MWSS RO has committed to plant 25,000 seedlings this year in support of the Expanded National Greening Program of the Philippine government and the Annual Million Tree Challenge (AMTC) of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System – Corporate Office.
