The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) Board of Trustees appointed Ma. Genaline R. Valera as the new Deputy Administrator of MWSS-Regulatory Office’s Customer Service Regulation Area effective 1 September 2015. Under the Concession Agreement, MWSS-RO shall be composed of five members consisting of one Chief Regulator and four Deputy Administrators who will each serve a term of five years.

Deputy Administrator Valera graduated cum laude with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. She also finished Law at the same university in 1993.

 Deputy Administrator Valera has extensive work experience both in the public and private sectors. She became a Brand Marketing and HR Manager for private corporations. After several years of working at the CSC, she became the Director of a Field Office, NCR. Prior to her position at the MWSS-RO, she was also Deputy Administrator of another GOCC.
