On 20 December 2022, officials and representatives of the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) Gender and Development Committee and the UP Center for Women’s and Gender Studies (UPCWGS) held the ceremonial signing of the Terms of Reference (TOR) for the 2023 MWSS RO Sex Disaggregated Water Data Project.

The said initiative aims to gather and provide baseline information on the basic water statistics in the Concession Area. The data that will be generated from this project will be instrumental in MWSS RO’s development and implementation of more gender-responsive water and wastewater services and policies that will benefit the consumers in Metro Manila and parts of Cavite and Rizal.

Present during the signing of the TOR were MWSS RO Chief Regulator Patrick Lester N. Ty, and MWSS RO Deputy Administrator for Customer Service Regulation and Gender and Development Committee Vice Chairperson Lee Robert M. Britanico.

Representing UPCWGS were Project Leader Marie Aubrey J. Villaceran, Project Manager Bernice V. Soriano, and Project Coordinator Fernand Vincent M. Hermoso.
