Chief Regulator Joel Yu of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System Regulatory Office (MWSS-RO) throws out the first ball during the official unveiling of MWSS-RO Inter-Area Bowling Tournament on Friday, September 12 at the Ever Commonwealth Bowling Lane, Quezon City.

Yu said the MWSS-RO has organized a bowling tournament in a bid to deepen the spirit of camaraderie among its officials and employees and to uphold the continuing physical fitness and sports activities plans for government personnel promulgated by the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

The CSC, in its Memorandum Circular Nos. 8 and 38, series of 2011 and 1992, entitled “Reiteration of the Physical Fitness Program–Great Filipino Workout” has required all national and local government agencies including government owned and controlled corporations to adopt and implement similar activity as an integral part of their Physical Fitness and Sports Development Program aiming to develop a healthy and alert workforce.
