This morning, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO), led by Chief Regulator Atty. Patrick Lester N. Ty, took part in the kick-off ceremony for Manila Water‘s “2022 Earth Day Celebration.” The event was held at Balara Filters Park, Brgy. Pansol, Quezon City.
During the event, Chief Regulator Ty lauded Manila Water’s “Lakbay Kalikasan: Hike and Bike for Nature” project. This initiative is appropriate, especially during these times when there is renewed interest in physical activities such as hiking and biking not only as a means to cope and destress during the new normal, but most importantly to lessen our carbon footprint and help mitigate climate change.
Since water is greatly impacted by climate change, the MWSS RO enjoins everyone to protect and preserve our watersheds , manage our water resources sustainably, and use water responsibly and intelligently.
Let us all have a meaningful and impactful Earth Day Celebration by working together in caring for our planet.
