Today, the Philippine Water Works Association (PWWA) held the 27th Philwater International Virtual Conference with the theme, “Global Challenges: Water and Wastewater Sectors, Utilities, Operations, and Maintenance.
”MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) Chief Regulator Atty. Patrick Lester N. Ty, together with sector experts from private and public organizations across the globe, discussed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy, especially on the water sector.
In his presentation titled, “Commitment to Service: Adaptation and Resilience Amid Adversity,” Chief Regulator Ty stressed the importance of the continuous flow of clean water to curb the spread of COVID-19. Moreover, he emphasized the vital role of both the public and private sectors in the effective and responsible management of water supply to ensure its sustainability.
The MWSS RO enjoins the public to protect our water resources and conserve our limited water supply for the benefit of our future generations.
Water is not infinite; let’s do everything we can to conserve it.
