On 28 May 2021, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) participated in the “Engineering Public Policy Lecture Series: Sustainable and Resilient Water Supply Development” organized by the UPD College of Engineering and the UP National Engineering Center. The webinar aimed to examine the “effects of institutional decisions and current government policies, as well as evaluate possible outcomes of initiatives” in relation to the water sector.
As panelist reactor in the webinar, MWSS RO Operations Monitoring Department Manager Engr. Joel A. Dominguez shared the agency’s initiatives to protect the interest of the public for a sustainable supply of potable water.
Engr. Dominguez also emphasized the role of both the service providers and customers in water conservation, while the government evaluates the feasibility of new water sources for the East and West Concession Areas.
