On 30 October 2020, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO), led by Chief Regulator Patrick Lester N. Ty, participated in the “Virtual Inter-Agency Meeting on the Challenges and Solutions on Manila Bay Rehabilitation,” organized by the National Anti-Poverty Commission – Artisanal Fisherfolk Sectoral Council (NAPC-AFSC).
The online inter-agency meeting aimed to discuss the issues and concerns of Artisanal Fisherfolk on the current situation of Manila Bay; present the Proposal of NAPC-AFSC on the Manila Bay Rehabilitation, Restoration and Development Program; and gather the reaction and commitment of the concerned government agencies.
During the meeting, Chief Regulator Ty expressed MWSS RO’s support for NAPC-AFSC’s project proposal; presented the agency’s efforts in disseminating information on water, sewerage, and sanitation to the public; and discussed the agency’s plans for the sewerage and sanitation services and situation within the Concession Area.
Amid the pandemic, the MWSS RO continuosly ensures that quality water, sewerage, and sanitation services remain available, accessible and affordable for all consumers.
