World Water Run 2016, Marikina Sports Complex

 

The Philippines through the Department of Environment and Natural Resources with participating government agencies, including the Metropolitan and Waterworks Sewerage System Regulatory Office (MWSS RO), private sector partners, and non-government agencies joined this year’s Water World Day on 22 March 2016.

With this year’s theme, “Water and Jobs”, a series of events highlighted the importance of the occasion. Photos show MWSS-RO participated in the kick-off activities which included Water and Jobs Exhibit and the Sining IPO Sungka Tournament at Trinoma, Quezon City on 15 March 2016. The activities were led by the National Water Resources Board, Manila Water Company Incorporated, and Maynilad Water Services Incorporated. MWSS-RO also participated in the Lake Pandin Tour led by the Laguna Lake Development Authority held in San Pablo, Laguna (18 March 2016) and the World Water Run 2016 at the Marikina Sports Complex led by the Department of Interior and Local Government and Maynilad (20 March 2016).The culminating activities were marked with awarding ceremonies on 22 March 2016.
