On 27 and 28 January 2021, MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) Principal Chemist Mr. Dave Eldon B. Olano, RCh, MSc; served as a resource speaker in an undergraduate class-based webinar organized by the De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI) Department of Biochemistry of the College of Humanities and Sciences. The activity was part of DLSMHSI’s creative and alternative measures for undergraduate internship, taken by graduating BS Biochemistry students.
Set in a student-friendly discussion, Mr. Olano talked about chemistry as an interesting field of study along with its worth and validity as a profession. He firmly conversed about his work as a principal chemist at the MWSS RO, in line with the agency’s role of ensuring the quality of potable and clean water being supplied to customers within the Concession Area.
The MWSS RO thanks DLSMHSI for this opportunity to educate the public, especially the academic community, about responsible water supply management.
