On 15 November 2019, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO)was recognized for its partneship with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) in empowering citizens with valuable information on water, sewerage, and sanitation.

MWSS RO Chief Regulator Atty. Patrick Lester N. Ty received the award on behalf of the agency during the PIA Media and Stakeholders Appreciation Program at Sequoia Hotel, Quezon City.

The PIA is under the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) and is the official public information arm of the Government.
