Recently, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) has made announcements regarding the confirmed positive case of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) at the agency; the temporary closure of its office premises and adoption of a work-from-home arrangement; and the schedule of the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) or swab testing of its personnel.
In order to prevent further spread of the virus and ensure early detection of other possible COVID-19 cases at the agency; the MWSS RO conducted the swab (RT-PCR) testing at the MWSS Multi Purpose Gym on 04 August 2020. All personnel were provided with personal protective equipment, shuttle services, and information on the batch testing schedule and protocols. They were also advised to undergo self/home quarantine while waiting for the test results.
On 07 August 2020, the MWSS RO received the results, which revealed that ALL 89 PERSONNEL TESTED NEGATIVE FOR SARS CoV-2.
Onsite office work is set to resume on 19 August 2020. The agency shall continue to observe strict compliance with the health and safety protocols and precautionary measures prescribed by the Department of Health (DOH) and the national government to address the pandemic.
Let us all keep safe and do our part to heal as one nation.
