The 2023 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) with the theme, “WE for gender equality and inclusive society,” continues at the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO)!
On 01 March, the MWSS RO, led by its Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS), inaugurated the Lactation Room which provides a safe, welcoming place for nursing mothers to pump milk or breastfeed, and the Gender and Development Office which houses the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) Desk.
MWSS RO Personnel also attended and participated in various in-house fora such as the Seminar on Expanded Breastfeeding Promotion Act of 2009, and Gender Sensitivity Training.
Finally, on 08 March, the MWSS RO joined in the commemoration of the International Women’s Day. This year’s theme, “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality” aimed to recognize and celebrate women and girls who are championing the advancement of transformative technology and digital education. The Office’s hardworking women were recognized and celebrated during this Women Appreciation Day.
