On 02 November 2023, Chief Regulator Patrick Lester N. Ty represented the MWSS Regulatory Office as a panelist for the Asian Development Bank‘s online book launch of the publication titled, “Accountability Mechanisms for Inclusive City-Level Public Services in Asia.”
The knowledge material focuses on the global challenge of providing safe sanitation access, with emphasis on accountability mechanisms for sanitation service delivery. The policy messages featured in the material are relevant to policymakers who will attend the World Water Forum 2024 in Bali, Indonesia.
During the panel discussion, Chief Regulator Ty shared his knowledge and expertise on accountability mechanisms that have been implemented in the Philippines, and the challenges faced in ensuring transparency in public services, particularly in the water sector.
