About the PIDr:

During the second quarter of 2024, the MWSS Regulatory Office decided to impose a financial penalty on Maynilad Water Services, Inc. in the form of a rebate to affected customers for the water quality failure incident within Maynilad’s service area, specifically the failure in Color and Residual Chlorine at the Anabu Modular Treatment Plant (ModTP) and its supply zone in Imus City, Cavite.

The PIDr on the Rebate Program aims to:

1. provide information on the nature, scope, and other details of the implementation of the Rebate Program to the affected men and women Maynilad account holders in Metro Manila and Cavite;

2. explain and clarify the bill rebates;

3. address (gender-related) issues and concerns of affected account holders; and

4. elicit comments and suggestions on improving gender-responsive services, especially in relation to water supply management.
