Last week, officials of the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO), led by Chief Regulator Patrick Lester N. Ty participated in a benchmarking visit to Baguio Water District (BWD) in Baguio City, Benguet.

BWD’s Engineering Division Manager Edmundo Q. Llanes, Non-Revenue Water Management Division Manager Fernando A. Peria, and Water Resource Section Supervisor Danike K. Eslay gave a comprehensive briefing and shared their insights on the city’s rainwater harvesting system and other sustainable water resource initiatives, including their design and operation.

Deputy Administrator (DA) for Administration and Legal Affairs Claudine B. Orocio-Isorena, DA for Technical Regulation Evelyn B. Agustin, DA for Customer Service Regulation Lee Robert M. Britanico, Acting DA for Financial Regulation Christopher D. Chuegan, Department Manager for Operation Monitoring Joel A. Dominguez, Department Manager for Public Information Joan Michelle S. Antonio, Department Manager for Water Quality Control Maricris T. Laciste, and Head Technical Assistant Marie Antoinette D. Manuel joined Chief Regulator Ty in the said knowledge-sharing activity.

The delegation also conducted a site tour of BWD’s rainwater harvesting facilities to observe their components and operational procedures.
