On 27 January 2025, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO), led by Chief Regulator Patrick Lester N. Ty, donated two (2) Refrigerated Drinking Fountains (RDFs) to the City of Tacloban through the Office of House Speaker Hon. Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez. These RDFs will be installed at the Eastern Visayas Medical Center to aid humanitarian efforts following the impact of Typhoon Pepito.
This initiative is part of the MWSS RO’s 27th-anniversary celebration, highlighting its commitment to public service. It was made possible through the support of Manila Water, Maynilad Water Services, Inc., the University of the Philippines Upsilon Sigma Phi and Sigma Delta Phi Batch 1999, and the Lim Family.
For 27 years, the MWSS RO has been dedicated to breaking barriers, transforming behaviors, and ensuring equitable access to clean drinking water, all while advocating for sustainable water management.
