From 21-23 February 2025, MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) Chief Regulator Patrick Lester N. Ty attended and shared his knowledge and insights in various conference sessions at the Global South Academic Conclave (GSAC) on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) and Climate 2025. Organized by the Center for Water and Sanitation at CEPT University, the GSAC was held in Ahmedabad, India.
At a panel discussion held on 21 February 2025, Chief Regulator Ty shared the MWSS RO’s experience in WASH monitoring and how the internationally recognized Regulatory Office ensures the provision of continuous, affordable, and high-quality water and wastewater services for its stakeholders.
Chief Regulator Ty also served as a panelist at the partner session of the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), titled “Accountability Mechanisms for Inclusive City-Level Public Services in Asia.” During this session, he discussed the MWSS RO’s inclusive tariff structure and the Office’s innovative approaches to accelerating the expansion of sewer and sanitation coverage.
