In March 2025, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) celebrated the 2025 National Womenβs Month with activities aligned with this year’s sub-theme, “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.” These activities, spearheaded by the Office’s Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS), were held to promote gender equality, recognize the vital role of women in nation building, and strengthen efforts toward an inclusive and empowered society.
The month-long celebration kicked-off with an opening ceremony on 04 March to reintroduce the 2023-2028 five-year overarching theme “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society.” The GFPS unveiled the line-up of programs and activities for MWSS RO personnel and external stakeholders, including Women’s Appreciation Day to celebrate International Women’s Day, a visit to the Tandang Sora Women’s Museum, Gender Sensitivity Training, and a Seminar on Gynecological Disorders.
Moreover, the GFPS organized competitions to raise awareness on inclusivity and women empowerment, such as GAD Quiz Bee, Photography Contest, Infomercial Contest, and Poster-making Contest.
The MWSS RO remains committed to advancing gender equality and women empowerment in the water and sanitation sector.
Empower her. Conserve water.
Empower with care. Promote proper sanitation for her.
