On 11 June 2025, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO), led by Chief Regulator Patrick Lester N. Ty, hosted the monthly meeting of the Metro Manila Drinking Water Quality Monitoring Committee (MMDWQMC).
Along with its members representing the 17 local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila, the Department of Health (Philippines) – Metro Manila Center for Health Development, Environmental and Occupational Health Cluster, and Concessionaires Maynilad Water Services, Inc. and Maynilad Water Services, Inc., the Committee discussed updates on water quality monitoring and surveillance across the region. They also examined key factors influencing water quality and other matters critical to their shared mandate.
The MWSS RO extends its full support to the MMDWQMC, recognizing that collaborative engagements enable stakeholders to align efforts, strengthen partnerships, and deliver improved services to the public. Ensuring access to clean and safe drinking water remains essential for protecting public health and promoting community well-being.
