On 30 May 2024, officials and employees of the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO), led by Chief Regulator Patrick Lester N. Ty, conducted a site inspection of the Caloocan-Malabon-Navotas (CAMANA) Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) being developed by Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (MWSI) in Brgy. Maypajo, Caloocan City.

The CAMANA WRF aims to treat 205 million liters per day (MLD) of wastewater from 1.3 million customers in South Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, portions of Manila, and portions of Quezon City by the third quarter of 2026.

The facility, which uses the Modified Ludzack-Ettinger Process (MLEP) with Conventional Activated Sludge (CAS), will be the biggest WRF in the Philippines once operational.

The MWSS RO continues to closely monitor the water, sewerage, and sanitation projects of the Concessionaires to ensure the delivery of continuous, sustainable, and accessible supply of safe and affordable drinking water, and environmentally safe sewerage system to their customers.
