The MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) congratulates Maynilad Water Services, Inc. for winning the “Water Project of the Year” at the 2024 Global Water Awards. The awarding ceremony was held at the Global Water Summit on 15 April 2024 in London, England.

Maynilad’s Poblacion Water Treatment Plant, which is crucial for ensuring water security in the West Zone, was commended for optimizing its environmental footprint.

Established in 2006 by Global Water Intelligence (GWI), the awards recognize the most important achievements in the international water industry within several categories, and reward those initiatives in the water, wastewater and desalination sectors that are moving the industry forward through improved operating performance, innovative technology adoption and sustainable financial models.

In 2023, the MWSS RO was named the “Public Water Agency of the Year.”
