On 22 March 2025, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) participated in the World Water Day PH Awards 2025, where Deputy Administrator (DA) for Administration and Legal Affairs (ALA-DA) Claudine B. Orocio-Isorena was honored as one of the recipients of the Women in Water Leadership Award. The event, held in Quezon City, was organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), National Water Resources Board , and Maynilad Water Services, Inc..
World Water Day PH recognizes outstanding efforts by local leaders, organizations, and advocates dedicated to protecting the country’s water resources and providing more Filipinos with greater access to water and sanitation.
ALA-DA Orocio-Isorena, who also serves as the Chairperson of the MWSS RO’s Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System (GFPS), was recognized for advancing gender and development initiatives in the water sector. Under her leadership, the MWSS RO received the 2023 GADtimpala Bronze Award for Outstanding Gender-Responsive Agency and the GADtimpala Silver Award for exemplary GFPS or “GADtimpala AlaGAD.” Just last year, the MWSS RO also launched the Sex Disaggregated Water Data (SDWD) Project Report.
