On 07 March 2025, the MWSS Regulatory Office participated in the 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) Forum, organized by Manila Water
MWSS RO Deputy Administrator (DA) for Technical Regulation (TRA-DA) Evelyn B. Agustin served as a panelist at the event, where she discussed gender-related issues, particularly the challenges faced by women in engineering and the water and sanitation sector. Meanwhile, DA for Administration and Legal Affairs (ALA-DA) and MWSS RO Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System (GFPS) Chairperson Claudine B. Orocio-Isorena introduced the keynote speaker, Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) Chairperson and CEO Atty. Monalisa C. Dimalanta.
Aligned with this year’s NWMC theme, “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas,” this knowledge-exchange activity brought together GAD advocates and stakeholders to promote women empowerment, gender equality, diversity, and inclusivity across various sectors.
The MWSS RO commends Manila Water for spearheading gender-inclusive advocacy programs that empower citizens and promote environmental sustainability.
