On 25 September 2024, the MWSS Regulatory Office (MWSS RO) Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System (GFPS), in collaboration with Manila Water Company, Inc. and Manila Water Foundation, conducted a Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) activity at the Rizal Provincial Capitol in Antipolo, Rizal.
This initiative, which involved the donation of WASH kits and Refrigerated Drinking Fountains (RDF) to six (6) Rizal Provincial Hospital Systems, is in line with the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the MWSS RO and the water concessionaires on mainstreaming GAD through the WASH program.
The MWSS RO, led by its GFPS, maintains its commitment to promoting gender-sensitive and inclusive WASH practices, supporting the nexus between United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), and contributing to the health and well-being of our communities.
