On 17 July 2024, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) participated in the inauguration of a new batch of Refrigerated Drinking Fountains (RDF), as part of Manila Water Foundation‘s (MWF) Lingap Eskwela initiative. MWF donated seven (7) RDFs to the City of Marikina, to be installed in public schools throughout the city. Handwashing kits were also distributed to several students to promote proper hygiene practices.

Lingap Eskwela is an initiative focusing on developing Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) facilities in schools, in partnership with various LGUs, the Department of Education, and the Department of Health.

In his message of support, MWSS RO Chief Regulator Patrick Lester N. Ty commended Manila Water and its social development arm, Manila Water Foundation for their unwavering commitment to promoting hydration and health. He also encouraged individuals present in the event to conserve water through small yet impactful means.
