On 19 June 2024, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) took part in the inauguration of another batch of refrigerated drinking fountains (RDF), as part of Manila Water Foundation‘s (MWF) Lingap Eskwela initiative. MWF donated seven (7) RDFs to the City of Pasig to be installed in public spaces throughout the city including Maybunga Rainforest Park. Aside from the drinking fountains, several Pasig City students were also provided with drinking kits.
Lingap Eskwela is an initiative focusing on developing Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) facilities in schools, in partnership with various LGUs.
In his remarks, MWSS RO Chief Regulator Patrick Lester N. Ty lauded Manila Water‘s continued efforts to promote the health and safety of its customers, exceeding the quality of service expected of them. He also reminded the students, teachers, and other stakeholders present during the event on their important role in practicing proper hydration and water conservation, especially during the dry season.
