On 19 November 2024, the MWSS Regulatory Office joined Maynilad Water Services, Inc. in recognizing the most well-designed public restrooms in the Philippines through the Oro Inodoro Awards. The event, held in the City of Manila, was part of the commemoration of World Toilet Day.
This year’s Oro Inodoro Awardees—representing both public and private sectors, including schools and commercial establishments—were commended for their exemplary efforts in promoting proper sanitation. The event also served as a platform to highlight the importance of wastewater management as a vital component of environmental and public health development.
The MWSS RO commends Maynilad and all the awardees for their contributions. The Office also encourages everyone to help build healthier communities by expanding sewerage and sanitation coverage within the Concession Area and ensuring equitable access to desludging services for the public.
