On 30 May 2025, representatives of the MWSS Regulatory Office participated in an outreach program in Muntinlupa City to support the SOS Children’s Villages Pilipinas. Deputy Administrator for Administration and Legal Affairs (ALA-DA) and Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) Chairperson Claudine B. Orocio-Isorena led the MWSS RO personnel.
SOS Children’s Villages Pilipinas is a private, non-political organization that provides long-term, family-style care for children in need.
The outreach program – organized by Maynilad Water Services, Inc., includes a hygiene awareness session. Water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) kits and a Refrigerated Drinking Fountain (RDF) were also donated to the organization. This reinforces MWSS RO and Maynilad’s efforts to build healthier and more sustainable communities.
The MWSS RO, through its GFPS, remains committed to advancing gender-sensitive and inclusive WASH practices. This initiative supports the alignment of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), while contributing to the overall health and well-being of the community it serves.
