The MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) joins the observance of this year’s 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW).

The 2021 campaign, which will run from 25 November to 12 December—aims to promote awareness on Republic Act No. 11313 or “Safe Spaces Act” (Bawal Bastos Law), especially during this time of the pandemic when various forms of VAW are being committed online, as the most common platform for social interactions has already shifted from face-to-face to digital.

In this month’s General Assembly, the MWSS RO through its Gender and Development Committee, held a kick-off ceremony to present its line up of 2021 End VAW Campaign activities that will benefit its employees, stakeholders, and the general public.

The MWSS RO also oranged its logo, in solidarity with this year’s campaign. #OrangeYourIcon2021

The agency supports the Government’s call to strengthen the anti-VAW advocacy, eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls, and foster a community that has zero tolerance for VAW.
