From 10 to 11 October 2024, representatives of the MWSS Regulatory Office(RO) participated in the Department of Information and Communications Technology – DICTs Critical Information Infrastructure Protection (CIIP) Summit 2024 held in Parañaque City.

The two-day summit, themed “Fortifying the Philippines’ Critical Information Infrastructures – Cybersecurity Collaboration Across Sectors,” brought together government officials, corporate leaders, international partners, cybersecurity specialists, and other key stakeholders to discuss and address pressing issues impacting the country’s vital information infrastructures.

During the event, the DICT recognized public and private agencies, including the MWSS RO, for establishing their own Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT). The Office of the Chief Regulator – Management Information Systems (OCR-MIS) Unit accepted a Plaque of Recognition on behalf of the agency.

This recognition is a testament to the MWSS RO’s commitment to fostering a cyber-resilient Philippines.

The MWSS RO continues to support national efforts to enhance resilience against cyber threats, while safeguarding the public’s right to quality water and wastewater services.
