On 07 November 2024, MWSS Regulatory Office (MWSS RO) Chief Regulator Patrick Lester N. Ty led the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the MWSS RO and Western Union Processing Services, Inc. and Western Union Financial Services (Hong Kong), Ltd. This MOU formalizes the partnership between the organizations to support watershed reforestation and protection efforts, which are crucial for sustaining the water supply for Metro Manila and adjacent provinces.
As part of its 27th anniversary celebration, the MWSS RO has pledged to plant 27,000 seedlings in support of the Expanded National Greening Program of the Philippine government and the Annual Million Tree Challenge (AMTC) of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System – Corporate Office (MWSS CO).
The MWSS RO encourages individuals and other organizations to participate in tree planting initiatives to protect the environment, particularly our water resources. In the meantime, let’s all do our part by using water wisely and responsibly in our daily lives.
