From 24 March to 04 April 2024, Manila Water, Manila Water Foundation, and the Center for Art, New Ventures & Sustainable Development (CANVAS) held an art exhibit in Makati City titled “Waterscapes.” This initiative was part of the Concessionaire’s series of activities to celebrate World Water Day 2024.
In its opening day, MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) Deputy Administrator for Administration and Legal Affairs (ALA-DA) and Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) Chairperson Claudine B. Orocio-Isorena took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Also present during the first day of the exhibit were Manila Water President and CEO J. V. Emmanuel “Jocot” De Dios, National Artist Benedicto “Bencab” Cabrera, Makati 2nd District Rep. Luis Campos, and Makati City Mayor Abby Binay.
According to Manila Water, more than one hundred (100) local artists were invited to showcase their creations that depict the essence of water.
The MWSS RO supports the exhibit, which is also CANVAS’ banner project, aiming “to use art to help raise awareness and appreciation for water.”
