WATCH: Marikina City Mayor Marcelino “Marcy” R. Teodoro urges local government units and stakeholders to support the expansion of sewer coverage by connecting households and establishments to sewer lines. This initiative aims to enhance wastewater collection from both domestic and non-domestic sources.
In celebration of World Water Day last November 19, the Shoe Capital of the Philippines was awarded first place at the 2024 “Gawad para sa Kaagapay sa Kalusugan at Kapaligiran for Sewer Coverage” by the MWSS Regulatory Office, after achieving the highest sewer coverage in the National Capital Region at 81%.
