The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System Regulatory Office (MWSS-RO) on Friday 10 October 2014 joined Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) in fighting off diseases and keeping healthy through proper handwashing as the nation celebrates this year’s Global Handwashing Day.

O led by Deputy Administrator for Technical Regulation Area Gerardo Sullano and Atty Deputy Administrator for Customer Service Regulation Atty. Vincent Pepito Yambao, Jr. supported Maynilad in distributing hygiene kits to the students of Fairview Elementary School in Barangay Greater Fairview, Quezon City.
Mr. Rosmon Tuazon of Maynilad Customer Service Regulation, stressed that simple habit of handwashing with soap can be the first and effective defense against illness.
Joining Maynilad officials, Sullano and Yambao demonstrated to the participating students the proper way of handwashing to prevent the spread of diseases such as common colds, diarrhea and pneumonia.
