From 03 to 06 October 2022, MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) personnel took part in a highly technical Water Meter Management Training. This is in line with the Office’s continuing learning initiative to equip its employees in operating the first state of the art government Water Meter Test Bench.
This newly installed equipment can test and calibrate any brand of domestic meter up to 40 millimeters in diameter. It will aid the MWSS RO in: 1) certifying the quality and accuracy of Manila Water and Maynilad’s water meters prior to installation; 2) ensuring that the Concessionaires’ water meters are providing precise measurements and recording of the customers’ water consumption; and 3) independently investigating and validating concerns regarding customers’ water meters.
