The MWSS Regulatory Office (RO), headed by Chief Regulator Atty. Patrick Lester N. Ty, participated in the ceremonial groundbreaking and lowering of time capsule for the Mandaluyong West Sewerage System Project-Aglipay Sewer Treatment Plant (STP). The event was held on 24 February 2021 in Brgy. Old Zaniga, Mandaluyong City.

The Aglipay STP, which is expected to be completed by 2024, targets to serve a population of more than 650,000. This STP will be the first to be equipped with Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) process with Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) technology, which will efficiently ensure water treatment and improve effluent water quality.

The MWSS RO lauds the effort of Manila Water in prioritizing such projects that create a clean, healthy, and safe environment for everyone. The agency also commends Megawide Construction Corporation for bringing world-class standards to our wastewater treatment projects.

The MWSS RO is confident that through the strong collaboration and commitment of both our public and private sectors, our consumers will benefit from these concerted efforts now and in the years ahead.
