On 27 November and 04 December 2020, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) engaged in a tree planting activity at the Ipo Dam Watershed in Norzagaray, Bulacan.

The activity was conducted in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bulacan, Briquettors Association of the Philippines Inc., and Bantay Gubat. It aimed to contribute to the reforestation and protection of watersheds that are the major sources of water supply for the Metropolis.

The MWSS RO has committed to plant 23,000 seedlings this year, in line with the “Annual Million Tree Challenge” project of the MWSS Corporate Office (CO) and the Expanded National Greening Program of the Government.
