In observance of the 2019 National 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) Gender and Development (GAD) Committee engaged the agency’s personnel in a series of activities that aim to empower women and foster a VAW-free society.

On 28 November, the MWSS RO conducted a seminar on anti-sexual harassment and other gender-related laws for its personnel to raise awareness on sexual harassment in the workplace, its various forms, and the policies and legislation that protect against it. Employees also participated in a basic Krav Maga self-defense training yesterday, 04 December, to learn different techniques on how to protect and defend themselves against both armed and unarmed attackers, especially in unknown situations.

These were among the various activities the MWSS RO has lined up in support of the said Campaign, which will continue until 12 December 2019.
