On 14 September 2023, the MWSS Regulatory Office, represented by Chief Regulator Patrick Lester N. Ty and Acting Deputy Administrator for Financial Regulation Christopher D. Chuegan, participated in the commemoration of the partnership between Manila Water and the Local Government of Antipolo City. The event took place at the Hinulugang Taktak Nature & Adventure Park, Daang Bakal Road, Antipolo City.
The event aimed to recognize the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders in delivering sustainable solutions, particularly in wastewater services provision. The Hinulugang Taktak Sewerage System Project, which includes a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) capable of treating 16 MLD of wastewater per day and a combined four-kilometer sewer network in Antipolo City, is one of Manila Water’s significant projects in the Province of Rizal.
The MWSS RO lauds both Manila Water and the Local Government of Antipolo City for this joint collaboration in providing sustainable and innovative solutions aimed at protecting the health and safety of the public and the environment, especially our water resources.
