On 08 April 2022, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO), represented by Chief Regulator Atty. Patrick Lester N. Ty, participated in the inauguration of Maynilad Water Services, Inc.‘s 1,800 sq.m. Water Analytics, Testing, Experimentation, and Research Collaboration (WATERLab) facility, located at the La Mesa Dam Compound in Greater Lagro, Quezon City.
In his message, Chief Regulator Ty commended Maynilad on its construction of this DOH-accredited and DENR-recognized facility, which will expedite the process of water and wastewater testing in the West Zone Concession, and will ensure the compliance of Maynilad’s water, sewerage, and sanitation services with all the local and national health and environment regulations. He also congratulated Maynilad for receiving a “very good” rating in the Water Safety Plan Review by the Department of Health (Philippines), and for having the WATERLab ISO certified.
The MWSS RO supports projects such as the Maynilad WATERLab, which allow both the government and the concessionaire to achieve the common goal of safeguarding the welfare of the consuming public.
