During the second and third week of August, the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) took part in the inauguration of Manila Water Foundation and P&G Safeguard Philippines‘ #SafeWASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) projects in several schools in the East Zone (Ricardo P. Cruz Sr. Elementary School on 10 August, Rafael Palma Elementary School on 16 August, San Juan Elementary School on 17 August, and Pineda Elementary School on 18 August) and the West Zone (Pasay City West High School on 09 August, through the partnership of Manila Water and Maynilad Water Services, Inc.).

MWSS RO Chief Regulator Atty. Patrick Lester N. Ty, Deputy Administrator for Administration and Legal Affairs Atty. Claudine B. Orocio-Isorena, and Deputy Administrator for Technical Regulation Area Engr. Evelyn B. Agustin represented the Office in the said activities. In their remarks, the MWSS RO Officials emphasized the importance of proper hygiene and sanitation practices, especially now that schools are already implementing face-to-face classes amid the pandemic. They also enjoined the students, teachers, and school staff to conserve our limited water supply.

The MWSS RO is one with Manila Water Foundation and P&GSafeguard Philippines in ensuring a continuous and sustainable supply of clean water, and improving access to clean, gender-friendly, and inclusive sanitation facilities.
