The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System Regulatory Office (MWSS-RO) is set to conduct a public dialogue with condominium and high-rise building administrators and developers from various barangays in Metro Manila next month to address the mounting problems encountered by the customers in dealing with rate classification for high-rise buildings.
Deputy Administrator for Customer Service Regulation Area (CSR) Atty. Vincent Pepito F. Yambao, Jr. said the event seeks to disseminate effectively the procedures and guidelines on billing scheme and to increase the customer’s awareness of the MWSS approved implementing Rules and Regulations on rate classification for high-rise and other multiple dwellings.
The MWSS-RO will conduct the dialogue on August 6, 2014 at Orosa Hall, Balara Filter’s Compound, Quezon City in keeping with its mandate of upholding a total organizational commitment to greater customer satisfaction.
Invited to attend the public dialogue are officials of Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board, National Water Resources Board, Manila Water Company, Inc. (MWCI), Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (MWSI), and administrators/developers of an estimated 150 condominiums and high-rise buildings in Metro Manila.
Yambao added that there is an urgent need to address the concerns of customers on which have bulk meter contract with the Maynilad and Manila Water to resolve dispute and balance the interest of the customers and the developers/ administrators of condominiums and high-rise buildings.
The public dialogue is part of a series of activities of the Customers Service Regulation Area in line with MWSS-Ro’s commitment with the Governance Commissions for the GOCCs in upholding Customers Welfare and Protection Services and in keeping with its mandate of ensuring that the customers within the MWSS Concession area enjoy the highest service standards.
The CSR recently concluded a successful public dialogue with the subdivisions homeowners association representatives last June 26, 2014.
