On 27 June 2022, officials and personnel of the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) visited the Wawa Bulk Water Supply Project: Tayabasan Weir and Upper Wawa Dam Pumping Station being developed by Wawa JVCo, and the Calawis Water Treatment Plant being constructed by Manila Water, in Barangay Calawis, Antipolo City.

Present during the site visit were MWSS RO Chief Regulator Atty. Patrick Lester N. Ty, Deputy Administrator for Technical Regulation Engr. Evelyn B. Agustin, Deputy Administrator for Administration and Legal Affairs Atty. Claudine B. Orocio-Isorena, Deputy Administrator for Customer Service Regulation Lee Robert M. Britanico; and Acting Deputy Administrator for Financial Regulation Christopher D. Chuegan.

The Tayabasan Weir and Calawis Water Treatment Plant aim to deliver 80 million liters per day (MLD) of raw water to the water treatment plant of Manila Water by October 2022; while the Upper Wawa Dam Pumping Station is expected to deliver 518 MLD of raw water to the water treatment plant of Manila Water by December 2025.

The Wawa Bulk Water Supply Project is expected to augment water supply in the East Zone by 30%, and will particularly benefit customers in the City of Antipolo and Municipality of Rodriguez, Rizal.
